Hello and welcome to my new blog. This is my first foray into blogging so please bear with me as I find my feet with this. To paraphrase Ed Sheeran, these first few posts will be letting the dirty water flow and hopefully, eventually, I can produce something really worth reading.

Why?

I guess a really important question to answer is “why?”. Well I was inspired to start blogging by the wonderful John Reilly, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working for a while now and he is forever espousing the benefits of blogging. Whenever we have a problem John always seems to have a blog post in his back pocket that explains the solution, and if he doesn’t, he quickly writes one.

Secondly, I’ve been doing more and more work with Azure recently, so I wanted to start building some small projects using various Azure services and documenting my experience to help improve my understanding. If not for anyone else, at least for me to look back on if I ever need to do something similar in future.

The first Azure-related post will be how I get this blog up and running on Azure.
